My husband and I believe that flexibility to choose how we spend our time makes our lives better. It allows us to volunteer more in our community; to be there to help with homework when our son gets home from school; to having a loving family that cares about others; to pursue activities in life that give us and others energy. It all adds up to a fulfilling, happy life.
We also believe that to have a fulfilling life, we have to find work that makes the lives of others better. When we connect with people in a personal way, it makes them and us feel good about our relationships with each other. I never expected that being a real estate agent would allow me to pursue a life that matches our personal beliefs so closely. But when you think about it, our home is where we spend most of our time; where our families grow; where our dreams begin and come to life; and choosing that perfect home, where all of this happens, is a major life decision. When I can help someone find that perfect home, or to sell one home and move to the next, I have helped them in a deeply personal way. That is a privilege that I get to pursue every day.
